SHOOTING AT BISLEY

KING’S PRIZE CONTEST By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Wednesday. Astonishing scoring characterised the shooting at Bisley to-day. The riflemen literally shot the bullseyes out of the targets, so that the markers complained that they could not see them. It seems likely that another reduction in the size of the bulls-eye will be necessary, as 100 out of 909 men and one woman scored the highest possible at the 500yds range of the King’s Prize and other competitions. In the first stage of the King’s Prize (seven shots each at 200, 500 and 600 .yards) the Australian, Boxall Chapman, scored 34. 34. 31. and T. Downes (Australia), 33. 31, 34. They qualified to enter the 300 for the next stage.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
