A SAMOAN INCIDENT

(THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. RIPPLE of laughter went through the chamber in the House to-day when Mr. J. A. Lee, with obvious amusement, asked the Government what was to be done about a paragraph which had appeared in the "Samoan Guardian” recently to the effect that the Minister for External Affairs (the Hen. W. Nosworthy) was stepping into a waiting car while the band played “God Save the King,” and was persuaded out of the vehicle by the under-secre-tary for Externa! Affairs, Mr. J. D. Gray. This incident was supposed to have happened during the recent ministerial trip to the Islands.
