RESIGNATIONS FROM DAIRY BOARD
POLICY UNSETTLED (Special to THE SUN.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Two important resignations were received at a meeting of the Dairy Control Board to-day. Mr. W. Grounds was reappointed chairman. Mr. W. Claud Motion, in tendering his resignation as a member of the board, gave as his reason the fact that he had accepted the position of New Zealand agent for Lovell and Christmas, one of London’s largest dairy produce importing firms. The resignation was accepted, but Mr. Motion, at the request of the board, will retain his seat until after the board’s August meeting. Mr. J. B. Wright. London manager, who has agreed to take over the management of the New Zealand Co-oper-ative Dairy Company’s London office, also forwarded his resignation. Mr. Wright will continue in office the last of the board’s stocks have been disposed of. A long discussion as to the board’s policy now that absolute control has been taken off the sale of dairy produce was postponed until the August meeting for final settlement.
