LATE MRS. M. J. CHISWELL
Mrs. Mary Jane Chiswell, who died at Point Chevalier on Monday, was born in Cornwall, England, in 2 841, and came to New Zealand with her husband in 1875, settling in Auckland. Mr. Chiswell died 11 years ago. Mrs. Chiswell is survived bv two sons, Mr. W. Chiswell, Mr. S. Chiswell, Auckland, and four daughters, Mrs. R. Harris, Mrs. W. A. Mills. Auckland, Mrs. E Nelder, Whan.garoa, and Mrs H. Hedge, Whangarei.
Equally chic is the alliance of a black crepe satin frock with a white satin gilet, worn beneath a coat of satin on suite trimmed with ermine. "Bunny" ermine is having a great vogue, and lends itself admirably to magpie themes.
