NUMBERING HOUSES

MOUNT ALBERT COMPLAINT “COUNCIL DILLY-DALLYING” The numbering of houses in Mount Albert Road and other localities was brought up in the Mount Albert Borough Council meeting last evening. “Who is the party who is doing our numbering, I would like to know.” asked Cr. J. IT. Langly. He was employed by the day and was putting in four days a week now, explained the Mayor, Mr. L. E. Rhodes. There were several streets which needed numbering, Councillor Langly reminded the council, but the council was “dilly-dallying” on from year to year and getting no further forward. The question was referred to a committee to interview the official housenumberer and take action as necessary.
