SUSPECTED FERRY TRAGEDY

FARMER MISSING (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. A Te Kowhai farmer, Mr. William Sanders, is reported missing. He owns two farms, one on either side of the Waipa River. He left home yesterday morning to cross the river, and told one of his sons to follow him. When the son arrived at the ferry he found his father’s horse and coat, but the ferry-boat was missing. Up to a late hour on Sunday evening no trace had been found of the missing man.
