WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

AT HENDERSON The July monthly meeting* of the Henderson Women's Institute was held in the Foresters’ Hall on July 7, when a large number of members attended and the president, Mrs. Dorman, occupied the chair. It was decided that Henderson would join with the other three institutes of the Auckland Province in sharing a stall with the Home Handicrafts Company at the forthcoming Auckland Winter Show. An interesting demonstration on making paper lamp shades was given by Miss Ellis. After refreshments and discussion the evening ended with a roll call conducted by Miss Lewis, which caused much enjoyment.

For efficiency and congfort in using a kerosene tin as a bucket, thread the wire forming the handle through an old piece of hose.
