“THE FIGHTING DOCTOR” Since the days of Wallace Reid there has been a keen shortage of fast-movmg films, and audiences are deploring the lack. Recently, however, a new star has blazed forth with a series of pictures which have more speed to the film foot than the late lamented Wally ever dreamed of. The player is Frank Merill, worldrenowned athlete, whose latest picture, “The Fighting Doctor,” will be shown at the Britannia to-night. This Hercules production starts with a crash and ends with an explosion—and all along the line things happen so quickly that one gasp of astonishment is smothered with another. Stunts, thrills, danger, a thrilling rescue, a strenuous gang fight, a realistic wrestling match, a glorious speed boat race—one after another they flash on to a stupendous climax. Interwoven in the plot is a love story worthy of the action. This is a picture which experts have declared to be “the fastest film ever made.”
