THINGUMBOB
Hard by the burgh of Thingumbob I Is spread a camping ground; A haven for the motorist j From miles and miles around — j Its smiling sward, on Monday morn, i \\ ith litter doth abound. In cans of tin and paper, bags j Its slopes bedizened are—j All Thingumbob, the day before, { Has been there in its car: The anvil chorus puts tdie blame On motorists from afar! I L'nto the folks of Thingumbob I I'd say; just jot this down—- : The motor tourist, as a rule, j On sloppiness doth frown— You’ll find, the pests who spoil the place Come from your own home town! Pray teach the folks within your gates To take a tidy tone— Till your ability to clean Your own back yard is shown; Seek not the mote in other's eye— The beam is in your own!
