PRINCE EDWARD
VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES The Prince Edward Theatre is offering a virile, stirring tale of the West to-night. “The Ranger of the Big Pines,” a Master Picture, had its premiere there yesterday, and held audiences spellbound by its dramatic story of the love of a proud forest ranger for the qharming daughter of worthless parents. Kenneth Harlan and Helene Costello play the hero and heroine, and both give excellent performances as Ross Cavanagh and Virginia Weatherford. Hope Loring and Louis Lighton adapted “Cavanagh, Forest Ranger,” written by Hamlin Garland, to the screen, and William Van Dyke directed the production. “The Fate of a Flirt” will also be screened this evening. The vaudeville portion of the programme includes Puha and Due Brady, the Dentice Trio, Clancy’s famous dogs, Robbie Burns, Irene Hatherill and others. The second heat of the “Great Mystery Contest” will take place on Monday evening.
