MAGISTRATE’S “WHEEZES”
“My wife has left me and gone back to her mother, and will not have anything to do with me,” was the complaint of a man to a magistrate. Magistrate: Take no notice of her; leave her alone, and in a few weeks she will be chasing you all over the place.
Husband: She is not a woman of that sort.
Magistrate: Don’t be a pessimist. If it does not come off, come back to me, and I will tell you another wheeze.
