LIQUOR REFERENDUM

The Otorohanga County Council has been asked by the Taumarunui borough Council to supoprt a referendum on the liquor laws of the King Country. It was decided to support the agitation for a referendum. An amendment, “That the council do not support the request for a referendum,” was defeated.

The Otorohanga Council also sup ported the proposal.
