GIRLS’ HOCKEY COMPETITIONS

THE PROVINCIAL CUP ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS The girls’ hockey competitions were advanced a further stage at Remuera yesterday under miserable weather conditions. In consequence, very little good hockey was seen and the games were more or less of a scramble. In order to accommodate the heavy programme of matches the second round was played in the morning under bright skies and reasonably dry fields.
