ONERAHI ROAD

Since railway communication has been more or less suspended between Wliangarei and Onerahi, the upkeep of the connecting roads has become a problem for the county council. It has been pointed out that the road is largely jEfsed by residents of the Borough, and a contribution should be made toward Its maintenance. A deputation from the city waited upon the Borough Council recently, and suggested that the city should pay $-13ths., the borough 4-13ths., and the Onerahi Town Board l-13th. of the maintenance cost. The Borough Council decided to refer the question to its finance committee.
