Referring to Nelson McKnight’s statement, that he would meet the Aucklander at lOst 121 b, Broadfoot stated to a SUN representative last night that he could not make that weight, but that he would be willing to meet the Hamilton boy at list 21b. He is training at the City Fire Brigade gymnasium. As soon as his hand has healed, Frank Taylor, who was to have made his debut as a professional at the Town Hall a week ago, is anxious to meet any boy in the Dominion for the fly-weight championship, and failing that he will try for the Bst 61b title. A well-known boxer of two years ago, Jerry Whittome is again at work in the hope of obtaining a fight. He is sparring with Broadfoot and is quickly coming back to form.
