CAUGHT BY A SLIP

The driver of a mail-car ' from Whakatane to Rotorua had an exciting experience last week. When at a spot known as the “Pink Cliffs” he saw a slip coming down the hillside, but was unable to avoid it. The fall struck the front of his car and forced it round. Then another fall caught the rear wheels and straightened the car on the road, which enabled him to get clear under his own power.
