COMPETITIONS
1. —A book prize will be awarded for the best story not exceeding 300 words, with the scene laid in Happy Town, 2. —A book prize will be awarded for the best original poem on any subject, and not exceeding 20 lines. 3. —A book prize will be awarded for the best original drawing (finished in Indian ink) of The Little Thought, The Man who keeps the Joy Shop or the Doorkeeper of the Place-of - You-Never-Can - Tel I. 4. —A book prize is offered for the best title and completion of the following poem: Three little men with three little lamps And three pairs of pointed shoes, Came hurrying, scurrying down from the hills, With a wonderful piece of news. Three little men said “ . . . We shall never . . . And, oh! . . . With no one to finish the rhyme. Conditions: Open to children of 15 and under, the entries to be endorsed “Original” and reach the Dawn Lady, Happy Town, the SUN Office, Auckland, not later than July 16.
