WAIPAHI SAILS. —To load fruit for Auckland the Union Company’s Island fruit steamer Waipahi sailed this morning for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Mauke and Mangaia. She is due back here about the middle of next month.
CLOSING TO-DAY Model Building Contest “OLD IRONSIDES” BUILDERS of “Old Ironsides” models must hand them into the Contest Editor, THE SUN, to-day. To film the great sea spectacle “Old Ironsides” Paramount had to build a replica of the towering fort of Tripoli. It required mathematics and statistics coated with adjectives to describe the material that went into the making of this huge fortress. This set is looked upon as a masterpiece —the produeet piece of work of their lives — by the men who made it for Paramount’s film sea battle epic “Old Ironsides.” This stirring film comes to Auckland soon.
