N.Z. AIR FORCE
NO COSTLY EXPERIMENTS GOVERNMENT IS WARY (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON. To-day. Preliminary discussions relating to supplementing New Zealand Air Force seaplanes and airplanes have been held by the Government, but Mr. Coates stated to-day that nothing definite had been decided yet because New Zealand, with its limited resources, could not afford to experiment in this direction, and any action taken would have to carry' the fruits of experience in other parts of the world, particularly at Home. A lot of preliminary work respecting sites and general provisions for the future, he said, had been accomplished, but machines were not actually acquired. Captain Isitt, who would return shortly, would bring the latest data from Home.
