OLD MANUREWA IDENTITY

DEATH OF MR. J. T. FRESHNEY An old resident of Manurewa, Mr. John Thomas Freshney, died last week at the age of 89. Born in Lincolnshire, England, he joined the police force when a youth, but resigned and went to Jamaica. Coming to New Zeaalnd 15 years later, he settled at Manurewa, where he lived for 40 years. Mr. Freshney is survived by his widow, a son and three daughters. There are nine grandchildren and two t hildren.
