WAYS OF PUBLICITY

ADVERTISING DISPLAY EXHIBITION AT TOWN HALL Strikingly laid out, the Advertising Exhibition now on view at the Town Hall presents an interesting picture of the ways of modern publicity. It is the commendable effort of the Auckland Advertising Club to show the man with wares to sell how he can get the best sales. The first of its kind to be held in New Zealand, the display included the blazonry of poster art, exhibitions of window displays, newspaper advertising, printing, illuminating. working models, and cinematography. Addresses are given each evening, and music is provided. Last night Mr. W. J. HoldsAvorth, chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board, Mr . A. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport, and Mr. G. M. Fowlds. spoke. Tonight Mr. C. M. Cox will speak on “Newspaper Advertising,” and the Rev. A. M. Niblock will give an address on “Psychology and Advertising.” The exhibition will be open until Saturday.
