CONSISTENT CARDINAL LOGAN

Cardinal Logan’s consistency during the present season has well paid his connections, who have received £2,051 as a result of his efforts this season. Cardinal Logan was bred by Mr. J. O’Grady, of Ashburton, who leased the gelding to the present owner, Mr. A. Hendriksen. The latter effected his purchase some months ago and evidently made a good bargain. Out of sixteen starts this year, Cardinal Logan has won five races, has been second twice, and third three times. The son of Logan Pointer—Lady Superior has a placed performance to his credit over two miles of 4.28 4-5, and having been since Handicapped at 4.28 is eligible for the next New Zealand Cup. If Hendriksen’s pacer goes on the right way till November he will play a prominent part in the decision of the big heat.
