CANAL SCHEMES TO BE REVIEWED
CONFERENCE TO-MORROW A conference of considerable importance will take place to-morrow evening, when a number of local body representatives and leading citizens will meet at Avondale Council Chambers to hear details of the Avon-dale-Whau and Waiuku-Waikato canal schemes. The meeting has been convened by the Mayor of Avondale, Mr. H. Tiarks, and the proceedings will be opened with an address, during which Mr. D. B. Russell will fully explain the two schemes, and will illustrate them with maps and models. Among those attending will be the Mayors of Mount Albert and Mount Eden, and the chairmen of New Lynn, Glen Eden, Henderson, and Waiuku Town Boards, and prominent residents of the Te Atatu district.
