MAKE A NEWSOGRAPH CONDITIONS OF CONTEST PICTURES with a typewriter! They are not easy to make, but with a little application you can produce a presentable “sketch” of “Old Ironsides.”

A “Newsograph” is a picture made with a typewriter. Try your hand at the art; the first prize, donated by the management of the New Regent Theatre, is £3 3s, and there is a second prize of £2 2s given by THE SUN while Paramount Pictures is providing six consolation prizes of 10s Gd each. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The conditions of the competition are: “Newsographs" must be made with a typewriter; no other agency may be employed.

Ink, pencil, paint, or crayon must not be used. Each competitor must sign the entry form printed on this page, and attach it to the entry. Entries must be addressed—“Newsograph” THE SUN, 42 Wyndham Street, Auckland. Any number of entries may be sent in. Entries must reach THE SUN Office hv 5 p.m. on July 9.
