TAR AND FEATHERS

IRISH BUILDER PUNISHED REPUBLICAN REPRISAL By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Monday. A party of men raided the house of Mr. Joseph Parks, a master builder, at Dundalk. Mrs. Parks and her daughter were locked up and Mr. Parks was blind folded and motored to a lonely part of the Dundalk racecourse. There he was stripped and tarred and feathered. The action was a reprisal for the giving of evidence by Mr. Parks in Dublin when three Republicans were imprisoned for stealing ammunition. Six arrests have been made in connection with the outrage.—A. and N.Z.
