KEEP TYRE NUMBERS Motor-car owners are urged to keep a list of tyre numbers on their cars to assist in the prevention of the theft of automobile accessories. NEW DRIVE INVENTED On July 1, a trial is being held in Idaho, U.S.A., of an automobile transmission which substitutes an oil-pro-pelled hydraulic drive for all gears, brake, clutch, drive shaft, rotating axles and all housings and levers. The trial will be watched by leading engineers from all over the world. Motor experts who have inspected the machine say it is the realisation of the efforts of engineers for many years co apply the hydraulic drive principle to automobiles.
