GIRL TORTURERS

Extraordinary stories of cruelties of the Cantonese are told by Father Nicola Nuzzi, a missionary who has arrived at Turin from China. Father Nuzzi told an “Exchange Telegraph” representative that when his mission was wrecked he was sentenced to death, but escaped in native disguise. Father Nuzzi declared that the Cantonese were completely Bolshevised, and committed incredible cruelties. He gave as an example the case of three captive generals, who were sentenced to death and tortured for 72 hours by a rabble of students. The girl students were especially fiendish, and extinguished their cigarettes in their victims’ eyes.
