Champion Axemen. —A. B. Gibbs, of Murchison, who won a world’s championship chop at the Dunedin Exhibition last year, met A. Murrell (Queensland) in a special match at the Wanganui Winter Show on Saturday. Murrell won the first chop in 28 l-ssec.: and Gibbs the second and third in 35 2-ssec. and 28sec. respectively.
