KITCHENER SCOUTS

CONCERT AT MOUNT EDEN The annual concert conducted by the committee in aid of the camp funds of the First Kitchener Troop of Boy Scouts and Wolf Cubs was held in the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church Hall on Saturday evening, the audience numbering about 250. The artists included Mr. J. B. Finlayson, Mr. Walter O’Connell and Miss Doris Messer, Misses Ina and Nancye Targuse. Mrs. B. Jellard, Mr. W. Henderson, Mr. W. G. Lloyd, Miss Elsie Gaily and Mr. Arthur Hawking. A sweet and cake stall conducted by the ladies of the troop committee resulted in a nett profit of £ 7 10s. As a result of this effort by the committee the scouts will benefit to the extent of about £2o. As they require much more than this to purchase tents, etc. for their Christmas camp they intend holding a concert of their own about the end of September.
