BAND CONCERT

A large audience is assured for the magnificent all operatic programme to be given in the Town Hall to-night by the Municipal Band and assistint vocalists. The band will play the overture to “Tannhauser,” a grand selection from Boito’s "Mefistofele,” selection “Lilac Time,” the "Intermezzo - ' from "Cavalleria Rusticana,” the "Barcarolle” from "Tales of Hoffman,” and a fantasia from the works of Offenbach. The vocalists, Miss McGruer and Messrs. Ripley and Thomas, will sing a series of solo and concerted numbers from the operas "Romeo and Juliet" “Faust,” and “Sadko.” "Softly Sighs,” from Weber’s “Der Freischutz,” will be given by Mr. Fred Bowes as a cornet solo. Booking is at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd., Queen Street.
