THAMES BOROUGH

DISPOSAL OF PLANT (From Our Ozon Correspondent.) THAMES, Friday. At the borough meeting last evening 33 motor-cyclists presented a petition requesting an amendment of the by-laws respecting pillion riding. Cr. Bush proposed that the request be referred to a committee appointed last year to redraft the traffic bylaws. Councillors agreed that pillion riding was dangerous, but adopted the proposal to refer the question to a committee of the Mayor and Crs. Donovan, Bryan and Ensor. In the discussion on the carrying out of general work of the borough it was decided that in future all carting of refuse, collection of nightsoil and metal be tendered for. The present silent policemen are to be removed and metal ones substituted. It was decided to dispose of the whole cartage plant, except two horses and one sanitary cart.
