MANGERE OFFENCE PROBATION FOR GIRL Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. A young woman, Winifred Iris Cockle, who admitted causing damage by setting fire to curtains in a house at Mangere, was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to make restitution of £l2 10s at the Magistrate’s Court this morning. It was stated that the accused said as an excuse for her acts, that she hoped her employers would shift her from Mangere. She was not a first offender.
