W.C.T.U. STARTS CAMPAIGN

(From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON. Friday.

Frantic endeavours are being made by the Women’s Christian Temperance Union to have the Licensing Act amended, and individual members of Parliament in almost every constituency but Wellington have been petitioned and asked to advocate a twoissue ballot paper. Wellington members will be approached on Tuesday next. It is believed that certain members will take up the case of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union in the House during the session.
