MINING NEWS LUCKY SHOT.—The manager wired this morning: Driving north reef opened out to 4ft. Secured 101 b. picked stone. OCCIDE NT A L - U N A.—The manager reports for period ending June 18: Quartz is being broken from the No. 2 reef and looks very well, being heavily mineralised and carrying silica and blend. A little gold can be seen in the ore which is being saved for treatment. Stoping has been commenced on the hangingwall dropper of the No. 2 reef, w r hich also looks well, and gold can be seen in the quartz broken.
