Prisoners Attempt Escape. —Two prisoners, William Thomas and Laurence Burton, serving: sentences for theft at Rang;ipo prison camp, escaped on Sunday afternoon, but were smartly tracked by warders and recaptured yesterday afternoon near Oruanui. Attempts by two other prisoners at Waikune to escape on Sunday were frustrated.
