TEAM FOR SYDNEY LEAVE BY MARAMA TO-DAY By the Marama, leaving for Sydney to-day, Tidal, Whakarite and Nucleus are being taken across by N. Cunningham. T. George has White Bird in his charge, while Spoony and Princess Lupin are also on board. The jockeys, S. Tremaine and C. McCarthy, are also to go across to Sydney to-day. Although it was understood that Mr. W. Scholium's pair, True Blood and White Wings, were to make the trip, such is not the case, as their owner has no intention of sending them across unless he can go with them. TO VISIT VALAIS Mr. J. C. Gleeson, who returned last week from Sydney, while in the Commonwealth made arrangements for his filly by Tea Tray from Gold Treasure, and therefore half-sister to Amythas, to visit Valais, the leading Australian sire. The filly was bred by Mrs. Perry and has not been raced. She is rising four years old, and the last foal to be thrown since Amythas, who was born in 1916. Mr. Gleeson tried to get the filly away by the Marama sailing to-day, but was unsuccessful. Probably she will be shipped by the next available steamer.
