FIGHTING PLANES FOR N.Z.

(TIIE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter .) WELLINGTON, To-day. rpHE Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. J. Rolleston, states that a Bristol Fighter dual-control airplane will be arriving at Lyttelton shortly for use at the Wigram Airdrome for instructional purposes. Two more Bristols for service work are arriving later. Referring to the gift airplane presented by Sir Henry Wigram, of Christchurch, the Minister said that an order had been placed through the Air Ministry for a Glouster single-seater fighter, but it was not possible at present to give any indication as to the length of time reqLiired for the machine to be built and shipped to New Zealand.
