Dairy Shipments from N.Z. Ports
A COMPARATIVE TABLE (.Special to THE SUX.) ROTORUA, To-day. A table of some interest as showing the comparative shipments from New Zealand ports to London during the year ended April 30 last, was presented to the annual meeting of the National Dairy Association yesterday. Butter is shown in number of boxes, and cheese in crates, the figures showing:—
Totals 2,286,975 1,028,35 S « The report stated that Auckland district secured a good start, and went from record to record throughout the season. New Zealand supplied 19. S per cent, of the butter imported into the United Kingdom for 1926. is compared with 21 i per cent, in 1925, 20 per cent, in 1924. and 22 per cent, in 1923. The supply of cheese comprised 49.6 per cent, of the total, as compared with 45 per cent, in 1925. 51 per cent, in 1924, and 48 per cent, in 1923.
