“OLD GIRLS” PROPOSAL TO BE ERECTED AT THAMES The erection of a memorial to the mothers of the Old Thames Girls, which will also commemorate the Diamond Jubilee to be held at Thames on July 31, is proposed by the Old Thames Girls’ Association. Great interest in the jubilee was being shown by former Thames residents throughout the Dominion, said the president, Mrs. Oldham, at the meeting in the West End Theatre, Ponsonby, last night.
