“NO” TO BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS LEAGUE
LIST OF PARENTS REFUSED WELLINGTON BOARD’S DECISION Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Wellington Education Board today, by eight votes to three, refused to rescind the motion that headteachers throughout the Wellington education district be requested to afford accredited representatives of the Bible-in-Schools League facilities to obtain from school registers the names and addresses of the parents of pupils attending schools, to enable a plebiscite to be taken on the question of religious instruction as embodied in the Bill introduced in Parliament last session.
