MOTORISTS’ LICENCES ANNUAL ROUND-UP “Same story?” “Yes, your Worship.” “£1 and costs.” *£>HAT “£1 and costs,” with a tailing three-tone intonation, came regularly from Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Traffic Court this morning at the rate of twice a minute. As the magistrate warmed to the iob in good stretches the demeanour of the police force ranged along the wall degenerated from broad grins to open guffaws. The annual round-up of unlicensed drivers took place op Sunday, May ?9, when between 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. the City Council traffic inspectors stopped 3,000 cars.
