PRESENTATION
At a pleasing little function which took place at the Whangarei Y.M.C.A. the members said au revoir to Mr. Len Bates, who has been acting as physical director for the past year, and who is going on a six months’ trip to England. Mr. H. Nicholls spoke on behalf of the directors, Mr. K. Hansen on behaft of the boys, Mr. W. Shaw on behalf of the gym members, Mr. C. Birch for the ambulance, Mr. O. P. Owen for the senior members, and Mr. Murdoch McLeod made the presentation of a silver illuminated wristlet watch, suitably engraved. Mr. Bates fittingly responded, thanking all members for their gift and for their messages of good cheer.
