HER RACE
Hoariri has a fine record in the Visitors’ Handicap at Ellerslie, and so too has Dick in the Great Northern Steeplechase. But niether horse has very much on Kovno and her record in the Hawke’s Bay Hunt Cup, to be run to-morrow. Here is Mr. C. E. Twist’s representative’s list of outings in this hunters’ event: 1923. —Second. 1924. —Second. 1925. —Second. 1926. —First. Kovno ran third in the Napier Steeplechase on Saturday, and indifferent third it is true, and she will probably be on harwd again at Hastings tomorrow. Kovno is rising twelve, and still appears to have some pace and jumping ability left. When she won last year she was eighth favourite, and in a big field six horses fell.
