After the Trophy
In sprae quarters The Shrew is regarded as a rod in pickle for the Adams’ Memorial Gold Cup at dra Park on Wednesday. The Shrew contested the Marconi Handicap on Saturday, and although never in a winning position she finished close up in the bunch, finishing well. Luvan is also liked for the Gold Cup, and she was not seen out on Saturday, the local representative being withdrawn on the course from the Mareoni Handicap. Luvan has been sprinting remarkably well on the track, and will be one of the favourites in the race for Mrs. Adams’s handsome gold cup.
