PAPATOETOE ORPHANS HOME

STAFF ENTERTAINED A very enjoyable social evening was given to the matron and staff of the Papatoetoe Orphans’ Home on Friday evening, when a party, organised by Miss L. Lang, visited the institute. Musical items were rendered by Mrs. Ronald Smith, Mrs. Shaw and the Rev. P. C. Davis. Games were also a feature ol the evening, and two novelty competitions were won by Miss Mona Waters. The little function was much appreciated by the matron, Miss Ada Hooker, and her staff, who thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation from their many and arduous duties.
