Year’s Work Reviewed The thirty-fifth annual report of the St. John Ambulance Association was presented at a crowded meeting over which the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. George Baildon, presided, in the Ambulance Station in Rutland Street last evening. The report stated that 1,049 pupils had attended lectures. The nurses had paid 5,691 visits to 817 patients, Nearly £IOO had been spent on comforts for sick poor. The net receipts from street appeals amounted to £1,517 0s lOd. The committee urged that the capital fund should be increased to an amount that would make private appeals unnecessary. All the retiring officers were reelected.
