Jewel Pointer (right) is acknowledged to be one of the most improved of Auckland's pacers. He seemed to be bothered by the heavy track on Saturday. Trampfast (centre) let his supporters down badly on Saturday. His effort in the Stewards’ Trot was unbecoming for a favourite. He may be improved by that race.
