A Yachtsmen’s Dance at Northcote
A cheery dance was held last Saturday evening in the Masonic Hall. Northcote, by the Birkenhead and Northcote Regatta Committee, when a large number of members and their friends were present. The hall was artistically decorated with the club’s colours and a gay evening was spent in dancing to the pleasing music of Mr.. W. Mayall's orchestra. Mr. B. Tyre acted as M.C. Among the many present we noticed:— Mrs. B. Maynall wearing a pretty frock of jade green crepe de chine. Mrs. R. Couldrey in a becoming gown of black chiffon velvet. Mrs. Couldrey, frock of French grey georgette and grey wrap. Mrs. Roberts, black panne velvet frock trimmed with scarlet posy. Mrs. Jenkins, frock of white georgette with iridescent paillettes. Mrs. George, frock of mist grey georgette. Airs. Walsh, black chiffon velvet frock trimmed with jet and fringe. Airs. Newham, taffetas frock in chartreuse green shade. Airs. G. McGill, midnight blue frock of panne velvet. Miss A. Hewitt, frock of shaded georgette with silver lace trimming. Miss O. Reid, dainty frock of flame coloured lame and georgette. Miss Boult, taffetas frock in cornflower shade trimmed with silver. Miss Devlin, royal blue frock of chiffon velvet. Miss AI. Couldrey, saxe blue frock of mousseline de soie. Aliss L. Taylor, frock of panne velvet m apricot tonings. Aliss McGill, frock of black georgette Miss I. Campbell, blush rose frock of chiffon velvet. Ij ; Harris, blue georgette and satin frock. . Mis* 3 Roberts, wisteria shaded gown of taffetas. Aliss Dening, frock of periwinkle blue georgette with silver lace. Miss McLaren, jade green frock 'of taffetas. Miss I. Robinson, shell pink frock of satin carreau.
