NEW METHOD OF RADIO TRANSMISSION
RESEARCH IN AUSTRALIA By Cable. — Press. Association. —Copyright SYDNEY, Saturday. Mr. E. T. Fisk, general manager of the Amalgamated Wireless Company, gave further evidence before the Royal Commission on wireless. Referring to the research department of his company, witness said the staff was working upon an entirely new method of transmission which might be useful for war purposes. • He claimed that the department had been in touch with ma-ny of the leaders of radio research in the world. They were doing this work for the benefit of the public and to secure a commercial service. Nevertheless, in the event of war, they would have an organisation which could hold its own with that of any, other country in the world, but it would be only through wireless organisation in the Pacific. — A. and N.Z.
