CRUELTY TO WIFE
DALMATIAN CHARGED REMANDED ON BAIL When John Crane, aged 37, alia* Ivan Krajancich, appeared before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., at the Police Court on Saturday, charged with saulting his wife, Margaret Crane, and with using obscene language, his counsel, asked >Tor an adjournment until Friday in order to get in touch with certain witnesses. Opposing the request, Mr. J. J. Sullivan, acting for the accused's .wife, said the woman had married the Dalmatian, who ill-treated her, nnd evea threatened to murder her child. Mr. Sullivan agreed to a remand unti. Tuesday. “But,” he said, “I want an undertaking that the man will not go near his wife in the meantime. It is alleged that the Dalmatian dragged the woman about the street by the neck, and knocked the chik down, injuring her so that her heau bled. In granting the remand, the magistrate made the stipulation that Cranf shall report daily to the police untu Tuesday. Bail was allowed at £-°-
